Dudhi is also known as bottle gourd in English and it belongs to the cucumber family. It is scientifically known as Lagenaria Siceraria.
Bottle gourd is light green in colour with smooth white flesh inside. This vegetable is generally available like a long shaped and pear-shaped calabash in the market.

Cooking Recipes
1. Bottle Gourd Roti
Ingredient – 1 cup grated dudhi, 1/2 cups chopped onions, 1 and 1/2 cup jowar flour, salt to taste, oil to make roti
Cooking Steps: Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and make as a chapatti dough. Make as small balls and flatten with hand and cook on the Tawa.
2. Lauki Juice
Ingredients – 1 cup bottle gourd, 1 tomato, handful coriander leaves, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 tsp jeera powder, salt to taste
Cooking Steps: Blend all the ingredients in the jar, collect into the glass jar and add ice cubes.
