Ingredients: 20 amlas, 2.5 cup sugar, ¼ cup cardamom powder, Saffron

Cooking Steps: Boil amla in sugar syrup with a flavor of cardamom.

 

2. Mavinakayi Nellikai Chetranna
Ingredients: 1 raw mango, 1 cup rice, 1 tbsp channa dal, 15 gm cashews (crushed), 15 gooseberries, 2 tbsp oil, 10-12 green chilies, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp urad dal, curry leaves

Cooking Steps: Soak rice for 10-15 minutes and cook. Heat oil and add mustard seeds. Fry dals and nuts till it turns light golden brown. Add slit green chilies, curry leaves, chopped gooseberries, and raw mangoes and fry for 2-3 minutes. Once it is fried, add turmeric powder, salt, and mix. Cook it on low flame for 6-8 minutes and add rice to the mixture.
