  • Garlic Achar

Ingredients: ½ cup garlic cloves (peeled), 3 tbsp mustard, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp finely chopped jiggery, salt to taste, and ground spices ( split mustard seeds, split fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, crushed coriander seeds, and pinch of asafetida)


Cooking Steps: Heat oil in a kadai, add garlic cloves and turmeric powder and saute on a low flame for 3-5 minutes till they turn soft. Add lemon juice and cook for another 2 minutes, add salt, jiggery, and chili powder and stir until jiggery dissolves completely. Then add powdered spices, mix well and cook for another minute. Remove the pickle from flame, cool, as well store in airtight container.


  • Vinegared Garlic

Ingredients: 18 organic garlic pods (peeled), 1-inch ginger – julienned, 2 chillies –finely chopped, 1 tbsp. salt, 1 cup vinegar

Cooking Steps: Take a cool and fresh jar, add chillies, ginger, and salt. Add one cup vinegar and shake well. Allow the mixture to rest for 24 hours. You can vinegared garlic with rice. You can refrigerate it for 2 months.
