About Seller: American Workbench, LLC was founded in 2005 in a garage. The idea for the company came about when my wife attempted to purchase a custom wood workbench as a gift for me, but could only find low-quality, imported benches. In response, I decided to build my own workbench and labeled it with the name American Workbench out of frustration. Encouraged by friends and colleagues, my wife and I launched the company's original website, initially selling one or two benches per month while I continued to work in the hotel industry. In March 2008, I sold my hotel and made the decision to focus on the business full-time, despite the economic downturn at the time. With a small amount of equipment, I leased a 700 sq ft industrial space to operate from. Today, we have expanded to a 17,000 sq ft manufacturing facility with 10 employees and produce and ship 40 custom benches every 14 days. This year, we are projected to achieve $1,000,000 in sales. I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made over the past 7 years and believe it serves as a testament to the possibility of building a successful company with minimal initial investment. This achievement truly exemplifies the spirit of entrepreneurship in America.
