Brown Wood's History:
In 1927, George Brown, an entrepreneur, identified a need for quality wood products among OEMs in the Midwest. Initially focusing on wood turnings for tool handles and garden implements, Mr. Brown expanded his efforts to include wood bearings for agricultural equipment and fully machined parts for military applications. By the early 1950s, Brown had developed into a full-service company providing wood parts and components for various markets across the US. Today, Brown Wood, Inc. continues to expand, with facilities near Chicago and in Yarmouth, Maine.
