The three main categories include: Virgin PTFE - a high-density, unfilled pure PTFE fluoropolymer ideal for critical electrical, chemical, and mechanical applications. Ebolon - composites or compounds of PTFE and other materials like carbon, glass, or bronze, offering enhanced mechanical strength and wear resistance. Modified PTFE (Virgin or Filled) - used for special requirements such as increased resistance to load creep. Chicago Gasket Company utilizes an integrated computer system and a full engineering department equipped with CAD/CAM for custom and standard PTFE products.
