Originating with the production of components for the AN/VIC-1 vehicle intercom system in the 1980s, the company transitioned to supplying cabling and audio products for military vehicular communication systems. Presently, CJ offers a comprehensive range of products including handsets, headsets, microphones, speakers, cable assemblies, and cabling products, in addition to their original communication systems line. Operating production facilities near Ft. Wayne, Indiana, with offices located east of New York City, CJ maintains cooperative agreements with tool and die/injection molding partners in Ft. Wayne. The company strategically utilizes support and sub-contract facilities in close proximity to their production and office locations to manage tooling and inventory efficiently. This organizational structure enables CJ to achieve high levels of productivity and on-time performance. CJ specializes in providing a standard range of tactical audio components, with a focus on engineering products to meet customer specifications for radio systems. Continuous product upgrades, integration of new technologies, and development of innovative products are ongoing priorities for the company. Notably, CJ's latest offerings include handsets with crypto capability and a diverse selection of handsets and headsets featuring electret microphones. The company operates a modern, state-of-the-art production facility for audio products, managing the manufacturing of microphone and earphone elements, as well as PTT switch assemblies in-house. Rigorous testing procedures are implemented at various stages of production, with products evaluated multiple times on average.
