About Seller: Founded in 1972 by George F. Dembow, Jr., Arizona Natural Resources (ANR) was established with a product derived from down to Earth mineral mud mask, a substance historically used by the Yavapai Indians in Arizona for its beautification and skin-tightening properties. Recognizing the potential of this natural resource, George sought to share its benefits with a wider audience. Subsequently, the company expanded its product line to include other natural items such as cactus moisturizers and shampoos under the down to Earth brand. In the mid-1970s, ANR ventured into the production of private label treatment cosmetics and toiletries for department stores, eventually becoming a key supplier for 80% of department stores in the U.S. During the 1980s, ANR acquired the "living nail" nail hardener from Bendyne Ltd, entered the hotel amenities market by manufacturing personal care products for guests, and diversified into personal care contract manufacturing and private label candles. The acquisition of Crystal Candles Corporation allowed ANR to produce a range of signature products, including odor-eliminating candles and aromatherapy candles. In response to evolving trends in the personal care industry towards custom formulations and innovative technologies, ANR shifted its focus towards research and development. Today, Arizona Natural Resources, Inc. continues its legacy as a family-owned business under the leadership of George's son, George III, in Phoenix, Arizona.
