Our process allows for the creation of "net shape" configurations with multi-level pressing capabilities, resulting in components with uniform density and minimizes the need for costly post-manufacturing machining. The name "Comtec" is derived from "COMponent TEChnology," reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers. Founded in 1987 and privately held in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania, we operate from a 44,100 square foot facility on 18 acres. Strategically located in an area with a strong industry base supporting powdered metal part processing activities, we benefit from a network of companies involved in various stages of the manufacturing process. Our product range includes a variety of components such as gears, sprockets, cams, collars, wire guides, valve stops, and more. We work with raw materials including ferrous and non-ferrous alloys like iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze, and nickel silver. Comtec has the capability to sinter stainless steel up to 2350 degrees F and all ferrous-based materials up to 2400 degrees F, enhancing the physical properties of the materials we work with.
