About Seller: Extrudex was established in 1980 as a sales company founded by Mr. T. Gill Herrick, specializing in the marketing of custom thermoplastic extrusions produced by external sources. Over time, the company expanded its operations to include production and secondary processing capabilities, leading to significant growth. In 1990, Extrudex was acquired by George Humphrey and his family, who made investments in additional machinery and equipment to enhance production capacity. Subsequently, the company relocated from Chardon, Ohio to a larger facility in Painesville, Ohio in 1992. In response to continued growth, a 10,000-square-foot expansion was completed in 1997.
Extrudex remains committed to its growth-oriented approach, with a focus on expanding the range of polymers processed and diversifying the size and variety of custom extrusions. Our company is recognized for being a high-volume, high-quality producer of thermoplastic extrusions utilizing a wide array of materials and colors. We specialize in applying pressure sensitive tape and offer secondary operations such as splicing, heat sealing, punching and drilling, as well as light assembly and chamfering. Our expertise extends to specialized profile extrusions including dual durometer heavy wall and thin wall tubular extrusions, co-extrusions, and monofilament extrusions.
Extrudex maintains an extensive reference library encompassing a diverse range of materials and process specifications. We cater to a variety of industries and have successfully worked with an extensive range of thermoplastic materials including low, medium, and high density polyethylene, ABS, PVC rigid and flexible, Polystyrene, Nylon, PETG, and Santoprene.
