Originally founded in New York, the company relocated to Connecticut in 1950 and later to Guilford, Connecticut in 1954. In 2007, Greaves was acquired by Essex Products Group of Centerbrook, Connecticut, which subsequently moved the factory to Clinton, CT in 2008 before consolidating all operations at the headquarters in Centerbrook, CT in 2016. These strategic relocations have enabled Greaves to streamline manufacturing, stocking, and customer service processes. As a comprehensive supplier, Greaves maintains an inventory of over 4000 different items.
