About Seller: Harwood Engineering Company has been involved in the development and production of pressure components and systems for containing, generating, piping, valving, controlling, and measuring flow and pressure at very high levels in liquids and gases since 1947. In our early years, we provided commercial equipment capable of handling pressures up to 200,000 psi, making us the exclusive supplier of equipment exceeding 3 Kilobar (45,000 psi) in the United States. Over time, we pioneered the "Controlled Clearance" principle, which has become the basis for primary pressure standards above the manometer level, reaching up to 30 kbar globally. Presently, we are constructing primary force standards using a modified version of this principle.
For the past fifty years, we have manufactured equipment capable of producing pure isostatic pressures up to 30 Kilobar (430,000 psi) at both room and elevated temperatures. Additionally, we produce presses capable of generating up to 10,000 tons of quasihydrostatic pressures, essential for diamond manufacturing and various scientific studies in physics, geophysics, and geochemistry. Due to our focus on custom solutions tailored to individual client needs, our market is niche and does not necessitate extensive agency-style marketing.
