About Seller: Hoyt was established in the 1940s as a repair facility catering to the elevator and escalator industry in New York City, specializing in carbon brushes and copper contacts. The company was acquired in the 1950s and embarked on a growth strategy by acquiring smaller fabricating companies in the region. In 1981, Hoyt relocated to its current facility in New Jersey to start manufacturing its own contact materials and expand its production capabilities. Subsequently, in 1998, Hoyt acquired a Copper Extrusion mill in Eastern Pennsylvania to meet the demand for complex specialty shaped copper bars used in contact production. In 2021, Hoyt was acquired by Deringer-Ney Inc., a leading manufacturer of precious metal components. Over the years, Hoyt has developed a diverse range of skills, equipment, and techniques to serve a growing market. By the early 1990s, Hoyt began attracting larger OEM companies seeking assistance in enhancing product quality to support their manufacturing operations. In recent decades, Hoyt has successfully transitioned from primarily serving the aftermarket to becoming a versatile OEM supplier with extensive in-house capabilities to produce a wide range of high-quality products.
