About Seller: In the late 1950s, George Gilman established a machine shop in Janesville, Wisconsin known as Janesville Tool and Manufacturing. While initially focused on general machining services like many shops of the time, George's reputation as a skilled machinist and inventor quickly grew. He designed and built a manual lever press, similar to today's ILP-500, with extreme precision and versatility. This press garnered attention from visitors who were impressed by its capabilities and soon led George to start selling presses and die sets. As demand grew, George shifted his business solely to manufacturing presses. In 1978, the Roach family acquired the company and expanded the product line, increasing the number of manual presses and introducing pneumatic-powered presses in 1989. Janesville Tool and Manufacturing continues to uphold the high quality standards set by George Gilman, offering affordable pricing and quick shipping to customers. Today, the company's presses are more popular than ever before.
