The company, originally based in Lynn, Massachusetts, has grown from a small one machine shop to a 12000 square foot facility equipped with modern machinery. Over the years, Karl Gschwind, the founder, expanded the company's customer base to include small businesses and larger corporations. In 2012, the business was acquired by ADC, with Karl working for them until his retirement in 2014. In August 2020, Michael Benoit purchased the company from ADC, and it now operates as Karl Gschwind Machine Works, LLC. Michael Benoit has a longstanding history with the company, having worked there for almost 35 years and progressing from a position in the lathe department to becoming the operations manager.
