John and Rosemary Koehler acquired a Bridgeport machine following discussions with John's brother Urbie, marking the beginning of the company. With John and Rosemary as the founding members, K. K. Tool remains under family leadership, now led by Kevin Koehler as the current president. Kevin Koehler, the original employee of K. K. Tool in 1972, joined the company after working for his brother Urbie until 1978.
