The PM process involves molding intricate shapes using presses, custom-designed dies, punches, core pins, and other tools. The molded parts are then sintered at high temperatures in atmosphere-controlled, continuous belt furnaces. During sintering, the parts bind together in a solid state, maintaining their shape and size. There are numerous secondary applications available post-sintering to improve dimensional accuracy, strength, wear resistance, and corrosion protection.
