About Seller: Established in 1941 as the Perfection Mica Company, our initial focus was on the mining and processing of Mica in a North Carolina mine. Subsequently, we acquired ownership of the Buster mine in the Dakotas, which was the largest Mica mine globally in the 1940s. The Magnetic Shield Division was also established to pioneer materials and processes for managing magnetic fields for NASA space missions. Due to the rapid growth and success of the Magnetic Shield Division, the company rebranded as Magnetic Shield Corporation. Our expertise and contributions to the television and electronics industry facilitated a seamless transition. The strategic direction and continuous expansion were driven by the development of sensitive electronic applications during WWII. By the mid-1950s, the demand for magnetic shields surpassed that of Mica, leading Magnetic Shield Corporation to become the primary enterprise in 1956. Since then, we have maintained a leading position in the industry, introducing proprietary shielding alloys Co-NETIC(R) and NETIC(R) in 1955, followed by INTER-8(R) weaved cable. These products have set the standard in magnetic shielding alloys.
