About Seller: The Niland Company was established in 1972 as a Texas Corporation by Thomas M. Niland, a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and the University of Texas School of Law at Austin. Initially focusing on brokering and importing architectural products from Mexico and Italy for municipal and commercial construction projects, the company expanded into the outdoor street light and site furnishing business. This expansion has led to the supply of architectural products to cities and commercial projects in the United States, France, and Japan. The production of light standards and site furnishings involves various specialties such as processing raw materials, wiring, and painting. All light standards undergo inspections by Underwriters Laboratories. The company offers a wide range of street lighting and site furnishing products that can be customized in numerous ways. Specializing in historical designs that are "dark sky" compliant, the company has also ventured into rotational molding, providing custom plastic products for automotive, heavy truck, and bus manufacturers. Additionally, the company manufactures polycarbonate refractor globes, UV-stabilized decorative planters, and equestrian training products under its Roto-Vac Plastics Division. Mr. Niland has served as President of the International Association of Rotational Molders (ARM). Jack Niland, Vice President of Sales since 1995, manages the company's independent sales representative agencies worldwide, accounting for 70 percent of outdoor lighting sales. Matthew Niland, Vice President of the custom Powder Coating and Finishing Division since 1998, caters to the regional market for powder coating, serving National Metal Stampers and Consumer Electrical product companies in Mexico.
