Founded in 1952 by Willam A. Steffen, Murray Farber, and Robert Levy, Northfield Precision initially produced microspin bearings, precision gear blanks, precision shafting, precision limit stops, and miniature slip clutches for the electronic industry. In 1959, the company became a public corporation. Our commitment to quality and service was solidified in 1962 with the introduction of the first precision air chuck to 0.0001 (2.54�) total indicator reading. Today, Northfield Precision operates from a 15,000 square foot manufacturing facility equipped with modern production machinery, design engineering, and customer service departments, with an additional 10,000 square feet reserved for future growth.
