About Seller: The Lectroetch Co., established in 1943, is a pioneer in electrochemical marking. Our process has been extensively utilized in various metal parts marking applications for purposes such as identification, inspection, and inventory control. It is highly effective for replicating trademarks, part and serial numbers, measurement markings, inspection stamps, and date codes on objects made of conductive ferrous and nonferrous metals and alloys. Additionally, metals plated with chrome, nickel, cadmium, and zinc can be marked due to their conductivity. Even painted, anodized, or phosphated parts can undergo deep etching (.0001-.006 in.) before coating application. The Lectroetch process involves removing a small amount of metal (approximately .0001 to .006 inches) from conductive metals through etching. This process offers a long-lasting marking solution that does not compromise the strength, shape, or integrity of the part. It can be used to mark thin wall and delicate components without leaving burrs or causing damage, making it the preferred method to meet Mil-Spec standards in many cases.
