About Seller: We consider ourselves a knowledgeable resource for accessing alternative methods for manufacturing precision parts and assemblies. Our approach involves developing long-term partnerships with the Design, Manufacturing, and Purchasing Engineers of each client. By combining innovation and expertise from our unique manufacturing companies with that of our clients, we identify alternative methods for manufacturing and assembling parts that meet or exceed client objectives, supported by cost and performance data. Precision Resources, Inc. (PRI) was established in November 1987 with the goal of representing technically-focused metalworking companies offering alternative manufacturing processes for producing complex high volume parts. Our main priority is to assist clients in finding the metalworking process that best aligns with their part performance and cost requirements. Each metalworking process has distinct attributes, including Impact Extrusions, Linear Extrusions, and Powder Metal (P/M). Impact Extrusions involve a Press/Die forming process for shaping metal slugs into near or net geometry parts, suitable for moderate to high volume production. Linear Extrusions utilize a Press/Die forming process for continuous cross-sectional linear shaping of metal billets, influenced by Die Design and Press capacity considerations. Powder Metal (P/M) involves compacting alloy powders in a Die, followed by sintering in a controlled atmosphere furnace to bond the particles metallurgically. P/M is a cost-effective method for producing net-shaped parts without the need for secondary machining, capable of holding tight tolerances at high to moderate volumes.
