About Seller: Investment casting has firmly established itself as a valuable method in the manufacturing industry. The lost-wax process is a cost-effective means of producing prototypes, short runs, or full production metal components. This process allows for weight reduction in parts, precise tolerances of .005" per inch, and minimized expenses and time associated with machining and finishing. Many parts are well-suited for investment casting. Our dedication is to consistently deliver the highest quality investment castings. Quality is not just a buzzword at Texcast; it has been a priority since our establishment in 1982. Achieving consistent results requires a well-planned facility, appropriate equipment, and skilled personnel committed to quality. Our commitment to quality is evident in our final products. We obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2004. Texcast exclusively manufactures investment castings in Houston, Texas, USA, without importing any castings. The lost-wax process for creating investment castings offers unique advantages for engineers and designers. Complex structures can be achieved with minimal or no secondary machining for net shape or near net shape investment castings. Lost wax and rapid prototyping are ideal for rapid prototyping metal parts. The benefits of using lost wax and rapid prototyping include the ability to test actual investment castings for application suitability, reducing time to market by using rapid prototyped castings in the first production run, avoiding the need for expensive hard tooling for low volume parts, and testing market products before committing to the expense and time of hard tooling. A pattern is necessary to initiate the investment casting process, which can be created using various methods such as injecting wax into a permanent die or utilizing different Rapid Prototyping techniques. Texcast manufactures investment castings of various sizes and intricate shapes, ranging from gram weights to 35 lbs. We work with a variety of metals, including iron, nickel, and cobalt-based alloys like carbon steel, stainless steel, Monel, and Stellite, for prototypes up to 10,000 pieces. Texcast has successfully transformed parts once deemed expensive or challenging to produce into routine, day-to-day operations.
